Cruising in Gay TAIPEI 2021
Despite the many gay apps and websites for meeting guys online, cruising areas in Taipei are still popular both with locals, tourists and curious guys.

Neither the term “homosexuality” nor the concept of an age of consent exist in Taiwanese legislation. Marriage is legal from the age of 18, and that too is the age people become fully accountable by law. Yet, legally, people become adult when they are 20 years of age.
Adult, private, non-commercial and consensual same-sex sexual activity is legal in Taiwan. The Constitution does not expressly mention sexual orientation or gender identity. Whist cruising in the following areas is relatively safe and free from interference from local authorities, caution, as always is advised. Prostitution is illegal in Taiwan but is currently under judicial review.
228 Park (previously known as New Park)
This park was the original scene that inspired Taiwan’s very first gay novel, “Crystal Boys” which was later made into the famous feature film, The Outsiders. Cruising takes place throughout the year, especially near the toilets. The park is open all night. Beware of the park during wet weather, where many of the paths can become dangerous and slippy.
Eslite Book Store
This now famous Taipei landmark is open 24 hours-a-day. The store tends to attract a lot of tourists after dark and most cruising is done by foreign tourists and local Taiwanese boys looking for fun, especially after 12am.

Shalun Beach, Tamsui is one of Asia’s most famous gay beaches. Its beautiful, cruisiy and offers nude sunbathing.
ANIKi Club gay Sauna in Taipei is one of 6 super sauna clubs open 24 hours a day.
Sha Lun Beach, Tamshui,
Sha Lun Beach is a popular summertime cruising spot for local Taiwanese guys and tourists looking for some nude sunbathing. Its quite easy to get to. Take the MRT Red line to Tamshui Station. Then catch the bus to Finsermans walk until you reach the Observatory Deck, just before the entry to the wharf. At the Observatory deck you will see wodden stairs leading to a gazebo. Pass the motor scooters parked along side the road. This is where you will find the gay guys cruising.
As you continue turn left into the woods to find the cruising area. The beach is well known by locals in Taiwan and beyond and is popular during the day and afternoons.
Gay Saunas in Taipei
There are more than 7 gay saunas in Taipei. The city is famous throughout Asia for offering some of the highest quality Saunas. One of the world’s most famous is the Aniki Club which can cater for more than 500 visitors, has a 24 hour restaurant, includes three large pools: hot, cool and jacuzzi, steam, plus dry sauna and dark shower area. The venue also has a large number of private cabins lining the cruising corridors. The Masked Orgy night is also very popular where patrons are stripped, issued black ski masks, condoms, and enter into a group playroom
