Gay pride in Taipei, Taiwan is one of the largest Pride events in Asia taking place on the last Saturday of October each year.

    The parade starts from a special Gay Pride Village (Ketagalan Blvd) then moves through the streets of Taipei returning to the Village for big after party! The parade leaves at 2pm – Check Route.

Asia’s No 1 Gay Pride parade and party

The biggest Gay event in Taiwan is Taipei Gay Pride with more then 200,000 people from around the world attending this 4 day event. The Gay parade takes place on the last Saturday in October each year and is the highlight of the event.

North Route : Taipei City Hall → Renai Road → Dunhua South Road → Zhongxiao East Road → Yixian Road → Taipei City Hall

South Route : Taipei City Hall → Ren’ai Road → Guangfu South Road → Xinyi Road → Dunhua South Road → Ren’ai Road → Taipei City Hall

10/31 IMPORTANT TIMELINE

  • 11:30 “Rainbow Market” is officially opened.
  • 13:00. The stage program starts.
  • 14:00 The parade starts .
  • 16:20 The stage program starts.
  • 18:40 The parade ends.

When the parade returns to the main stage gets under way, with local celebrities performing to show their support for gay pride, you will also find lots of stalls highlighting the gay charities and organisations supported by the Pride. Over the years this gay pride has evolved from a political rally to a celebration of gay culture making it fun for everyone.

There are lots parties  held over the pride weekend, some of the most popular of the big parties are Saturday night at the W Hotel Taipei, and the weekend circuit parties with famous DJ s from around the word and the hottest go go boys your will find in Taiwan.

The pride parade and pride gay village is not that close to the gay bars of the Red District, so we would recommend that you take a taxi to the parade from your hotel.
